Veteran Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analytics Leader to Drive Product Strategy Across the Organization
IRVINE, CA — 10 March, 2026 — ICEYE US, a leading provider of Earth Observation
capabilities for government and commercial customers, today announced the
appointment of Dan Getman as Vice President of Product. The appointment marks the
latest step in the company’s expansion of its leadership team, building the
organizational depth to ensure ICEYE US’s growing portfolio of capabilities match the
demands of customers who require persistent, reliable intelligence. In this role, Dan will
lead teams responsible for aligning product development and delivery with mission
requirements across our customers.
Dan brings expertise in remote sensing, geospatial analytics, and product leadership,
with a career spanning 25 years in the energy, defense and intelligence sectors. He
joins ICEYE US from the National Laboratory of the Rockies, where he served as Chief
Digital Product Strategist. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Product at
Capella Space, where he helped shape the company’s Earth observation product
offerings, and has held leadership roles at Descartes Labs, Maxar (now Vantor), and at
multiple DOE national laboratories. This depth of experience across commercial remote
sensing and the national security community positions Dan to drive cohesive, mission-
aligned product strategy at ICEYE US.
“As someone who has built product organizations, navigated complex technologies and customer requirements, and understands what it takes to deliver capabilities that must work when it matters most, Dan brings exactly the kind of leadership experience we need at this stage,” said Eric Jensen, CEO of ICEYE US.
“What drew me to ICEYE US is the clarity of purpose and mission driven team. Our
customers require reliable data and actionable intelligence to achieve their objectives. I
am incredibly excited to be building products and driving innovation that addresses
those needs,” said Dan Getman.
Dan holds a Master of Science in Remote Sensing from Purdue University and a
